Oceanographic and Valencia
When one thinks of Valencia, without underestimating the architectural value of its beautiful old town, one of the first things that comes to mind is the visual spectacle offered by the complex in which The City of Arts and Sciences and Valencia's Oceanographic is located. Two sections of a whole that, although better understood together, separately have an equally unmatched offer.
The city of the arts is usually better known, but Valencia's Oceanographic gives us the opportunity to discover that mysterious world that are the seas and oceans, as we have never seen it before.
The work of the architects Félix Candela and José María Tomás Llavador, the building itself could be an entity that emerged from the ocean depths, but no, these intriguing living beings are found within the complex.
Visiting Oceanographic
To be able to visit it, the aquarium has opening hours to the public from 10am to 6pm, a strip designed to avoid crowds and to ensure that visits are carried out safely. However, it must be taken into account that the opening hours of certain habitats, such as wetlands, could vary depending on the biological and meteorological conditions of the area.
It is also convenient to look daily at the schedules of the different functions offered by the aquarium, such as the dolphin exhibitions, since the hours also depend on the day.
As for the entrance fees, the general price of the visit is € 31.30, with the entrance for children between 4 and 12 years old is 23,30€. Children under 4 years of age have free admission and large or single-parent families receive a 15% discount on the entrance fee, for this, the reservation must be made directly at the box office of Oceanographic. For the rest of the tickets, it is advisable to make the reservation through the internet, so you will ensure a place for your visit.
