Secrets of a city
Zaragoza is the capital of Aragon and an important city in the history of Spain. It was home to one of the largest Jewish communities in the country, of which there are some curious vestiges. On Coso Bajo Street you will find some of the most spectacular Jewish baths, partly because they are hidden under a housing complex.
Multicultural is a while, we all think of the sut of Spain when they talk to us about the Arabs in the peninsula, the Alhambra in Granada and similar monuments, because Zaragoza was not going to be less. The Palacio de Alfajería is the northernmost Arab palace in the world, a beautiful complex that you cannot miss if you visit the city.
If we continue with historical buildings, we cannot ignore the cathedral-basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, a building full of curiosities, since its styles include neither more nor less than the Chinese Taoist, not to mention that its construction took longer than the one they have been with the Sagrada Familia for almost three centuries.
From this same cathedral came the people who starred in the first film shot in Spain, Salida de Misa del Pilar, by Jimeno Correas in 1896.
The ancient culture of Zaragoza is very good, but the current one too. Its people and gastronomy make it a place where there is always a space for leisure and tapas are never lacking in the bars.
Nor is it necessary to mention the privileged position of the city, which is crossed by the fabulous river Ebro, perfect for taking a walk along the banks of its waters.
