ILUNION Hotels supports against Covid-19 throughout Spain
Any help is little to face the hard blow that the rapid expansion of the coronavirus is shaking our society. At ILUNION Hotels, we are doing our bit in order to contribute in every way possible to mitigate the effects that the pandemic is causing.
As an organization that has social commitment in its DNA, and our great responsibility to society in raising awareness and contributing to creating a better world and a future for all, we are carrying out social initiatives to help the most vulnerable in this crisis.
Given the extreme gravity of the situation we are experiencing, and in view of the appeal made by the institutions about the need to medicalize hotels, ILUNION Hotels contacted the competent authorities from the outset to deal with the health emergency.
As we all know, Madrid is being the most punished region in Spain, for this reason, ILUNION Hotels will host in its hotels in the capital the mild coronavirus patients who need to live isolated from their relatives for the next few weeks. In the next few days, ILUNION Atrium is expected to receive patients referred from Ramón y Cajal Hospital.
With the firm commitment of the group to contribute all possible resources and as a sign of disinterested solidarity, ILUNION Mijas has offered its help to the Fuengirola City Council, delivering 50 beds that will serve as a shelter for homeless people affected by the virus.
ILUNION Barcelona with the aim of avoiding the collapse of the health resources of the General Hospital of Catalonia, has offered a large number of extra beds to be used in the provision of hospital services.
Also, a few days ago, and due to the urgent need for support and help in the most disadvantaged sectors, ILUNION Alcora donated 300 kilos of food to Mater et Magistra, an entity that has been working for people with disabilities and their families for several decades.
The priority for ILUNION Hotels has always been and will continue to be the people. With the will, courage and bravery of all of us, we are convinced that we are going to overcome this serious crisis that is lurking at the moment and we are going to come out together stronger than ever. Remember that each of us are heroes in this fight, being responsible, caring and teaching by example: #istayhome to help the health system.
