The Capital of the Costa del Sol. A name that Malaga proudly carries and that makes it a reality with the almost 3,000 hours a year that the king star can be seen on its beaches. Precisely here, very close to the beach, is one of the best hotels with a spa in Malaga: ILUNION Malaga, which occupies a modern eco-efficient building located in the port area and offers sea views, a restaurant, a wellness area with an indoor pool, fitness center and much more.
We invite you to stay with us and discover the best beach bars in Malaga. Read on for more details!
Chiringuito Sicsu
This well-known beach bar is located on Malagueta beach, the most famous in the city. In Sicsú you can enjoy some excellent skewers and a wide variety of fresh fish. It is a place located on the seafront with unbeatable views, which is why it is always very crowded and, in addition to sardines, it also skewers squid. In case you didn't know, Malaga frying is an unavoidable dish if you choose to visit Sicsú.
Tropicana Beach Bar
The Tropicana is another beach bar in Malagueta, here you must try the black rice. Being located on one of the busiest beaches in the city, the influx of customers is constant throughout the year.
In Tropicana, you will find a fusion between traditional cuisine, with the classic grills and skewers, and more elaborate proposals, but without ever abandoning fresh and local fish.
Litoral Pacífico
Another of the places at the foot of the coast that you should visit in Malaga because it remains open throughout the year. In this case, its location is in front of Misericordia beach and the recipes served at Litoral Pacífico are based on tradition.
We recommend that you try their shrimp omelets, the Galician-style octopus, the fried fish, or the cooked prawns. And to end the experience, make room in your stomach for one of their delicious homemade desserts.
Chiringuito Gutierrez Beach
Another restaurant on the beach. In this case, in Misericordia, very close to our hotel in Malaga. Gutiérrez Playa has a magnificent terrace in the middle of the port and offers good quality products at quite competitive prices.
Fried or grilled fish are two interesting proposals to discover here, as well as seafood. The raw material is always fresh, and much of it is local. The squid, calamari, and anchovies are fished in front of the same waters in which the restaurant is located.
El Cabra
El Cabra is a restaurant founded in 1965 that has remained open ever since on the Pedregalejo seafront promenade. It is a place that continues to bet on tradition and surprises locals and tourists alike for its good value for money.
The most spectacular thing about this place is being able to enjoy its skewered sardines, the local shellfish, or the rice dishes with views of the beach.
El Zagal
Between Pedregalejo and Málaga is the neighborhood of El Palo, here there is also space for a well-known beach bar: El Zagal. The service is unbeatable, as well as the treatment professed by the waiters. Among its dishes, we highlight the skewered squid, in addition to the fried octopus and the anchovies. But that's not all, as this establishment is known for its aubergines with cane honey, a very popular recipe on the Malaga coast.
This is just a small list because there is much more to discover in Malaga.
